Something I have been looking at during the semester.

It appeared in Jan while I was on holidays. It's a sensor-lantern. It activated only once - when some cat decided to pass by & do his dirty business next to this hi-tech gizmo :):)

A single room with a private bathroom and a mini-kitchen

Stuttgart Underground

The cleanest and spam-free underground – just like all of them in Germany!

On every station there is an electronic board which tells which number of train is coming & how much time is left before each arrives.

Bikes are allowed on board.

Doors are opened after you push the button – to save energy.

If you get into the first carriage – you’ll be able to freely observe the driver and the view from the windscreen.

In Stuttgart, the city is divided in some zones. The ticket price depends on how far you want to go. A day ticket costs 4.90 euro for the central zones, 1 and 2. The dispensing machines offer instructions in different languages – so there is no problem to buy a ticket with cash or credit card. There are no gates inside the station – you can validate your ticket in a small yellow machine on board.

Inside while on your way you’ll see that on the electronic map a light shows which station is next.

Of course there are no people walking around & selling newspapers, socks & other stuff. :)

- a key to university buildings;

- a debit card;

- a pay card for canteen, laundry and photocopier.
